Project Description

Client Objective:

The Thorndale Building was originally a horse stable, then a warehouse when our clients purchased it to expand and renovate into a condo building of market-rate residences.

Design Solution:

Our quick contribution of zoning, schematic design and unit layouts helped our clients move forward with phased permits and construction. The result is a 30,000 SF building with twenty-one residences – studio, one-bedroom, and two bedrooms. The front façade was restored while the back was stripped and carved out for zoning and light/air setback purposes. The project prides itself on the details celebrating modern comfort as well as the raw aesthetics of exposed one-hundred-year-old wood beams and brick walls.
